Traditional acupuncture is an effective holistic therapy which supports the body’s own self-healing mechanisms. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions such as:
Headaches and migraines, musculoskeletal pain including back and neck pain, shoulder issues, sprains, sports injuries, sciatica and more chronic conditions such as arthritis. Duey also treats hormonal, menopausal and gynaecological issues along with many other challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to digestive disorders and insomnia.
Duey’s approach is gentle, reassuring, informal and professional. At your first consultation, Duey will take a thorough medical history and ask you which issues you would like to prioritise (further symptoms are often resolved along with the main or presenting condition/s). Your first session includes a full acupuncture treatment where very fine, single-use, disposable needles are placed at specific points on the body and left for around twenty minutes. Subsequent treatments may also include moxibustion, massage and cupping. Moxibustion is where the herb mugwort is lit and held near to or on the acupuncture needle for a gentle warming affect. Cupping is a traditional therapeutic technique. By placing special cups on the skin and creating a vacuum inside the cup, blood circulation is stimulated in order to encourage the release of toxins from the muscles and relieve pain and ease muscle tension. The treatment can be considered as a type of deep tissue massage. Duey uses sterilised cups and 100% natural oils for the treatment.

Initial Consultation £60 including 90 minute telephone consultation and 45 minute treatment. Subsequent treatments are £50 and please allow 45 minutes-1hour.

Duey is registered with the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians and abides by their strict code of conduct on ethics and safe practice. He is registered with Oldham Environmental Health Department and is fully insured.
