NATURE & CLAY: Create a Tealight Holder

  • Nurture Saddleworth 23 Sam Road, Diggle Oldham United Kingdom (map)

Mindfully connect to nature and create unique tealight holders out of clay.

Spend the afternoon exploring meaningful connection to nature and creating with clay, in this Tealight Holder workshop with Emily Seville Studio.

In this workshop we will mindfully connect to the local natural landscape through a walk innature, guided meditation, and gathering natural materials.

Emily will then guide you through creating your very own, unique tealight holders out of clay, teaching you hand-building and decoration techniques to do so, including slab building and shaping. She will demonstrate a range of options for your holders to allow you the freedom to create your own unique pieces, whether that be a pair of smaller holders or one larger piece.

After the workshop, your pieces will be fired and glazed in a colour of your choice and returned to you at your convenience.

This workshop is beginner friendly and you need no prior experience of working with clay to attend. Emily will guide and support you throughout the workshop to ensure you have a finished piece you are happy with.

t&c: Cancellation can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop (this is due to the preparation of materials for each participant)

Who’s leading your workshop?

“Working with clay, I feel a physical, emotional and spiritual connection to the earth. Use of clay in my practice nurtures an intimate relationship with the earth - connecting to the physical material and the knowledge and stories held within it.”
