In general an adult requires 7-8 hours sleep. They say a one hour sound session is equivalent to sleeping for 8 hours. Sleep occurs when your body and brain drop into an unconscious state. While you're in a gong session or sleeping many of your body's basic functions are altered or suspended while other specialised functions happen.
A sound healing journey and sleep can do remarkable things. It allows your body to perform some essential maintenance on your memory, hormones, your immune system and other critical functions. It improves the brain's memory function and the ability to learn, helps the body fight infection, allows your heart to rest, and can even lower blood pressure. A sound session can also work on mental and physical blockages and give relief of pain in some circumstances.
