Gong Bath

  • Nurture Saddleworth 23 Sam Road, Diggle Oldham United Kingdom (map)

Be soothed into deep relaxation by the calming, enchanting sound of gongs!

In general an adult requires 7-8 hours sleep. They say a one hour sound session is equivalent to sleeping for 8 hours. Sleep occurs when your body and brain drop into an unconscious state. While you're in a gong session or sleeping many of your body's basic functions are altered or suspended while other specialised functions happen.

A sound healing journey and sleep can do remarkable things. It allows your body to perform some essential maintenance on your memory, hormones, your immune system and other critical functions. It improves the brain's memory function and the ability to learn, helps the body fight infection, allows your heart to rest, and can even lower blood pressure. A sound session can also work on mental and physical blockages and give relief of pain in some circumstances.

So many great reasons to look after yourself and get booked on to one of these amazing sessions.

Who’s leading your workshop?

Craig Winterburn

Craig’s fun spirit is infectious and his ability to lull you into deep rest quite remarkable!

Craig has worked and practiced as a musician since the age of 16. He believes he’s been guided along the path of spirituality throughout the many forms of music he has practiced. He has fused spirituality with the science and frequencies of drums and gongs and has a profound belief in the healing properties of these tools. He wishes for nothing more than to pass this knowledge on.

His many studies over more than 30 years have included Arts in the Community at Manchester Metropolitan University; West African drumming in Gambia, Senegal & the UK; Gongs at the Northern School of Soundsmiths and with International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine. He has travelled the length and breadth of the British Isles practicing and passing on all these skills.
